Project Next + CAPS Network

roject Next continues to strengthen its partnership with the CAPS Network, creating new opportunities for students to engage in Profession-Based Learning (Pro-BL). Through these experiences, students collaborate with industry professionals to solve real-world challenges, apply technical and durable skills, and develop solutions that have authentic value beyond the classroom.

As we expand these opportunities, we are seeking business and community partners willing to bring real projects, challenges, and expertise to students. Whether it's helping students develop a marketing strategy, tackle a business challenge, provide industry feedback, or explore a workplace, your involvement can help students connect their interests to future careers while developing the skills employers value most. Neighborhood Healthcare Summer Internship

(Juniors & Seniors only)

The Neighborhood Healthcare Summer Internship connects Student Interns to Neighborhood Healthcare’s workforce, providing an understanding of various health career pathways through a 3-week, unpaid summer work-based learning experience. Upon completion of the program,Student Interns present their Capstone Project highlighting their learning and experience with Neighborhood Healthcare. Applicants must be in the Focused Futures program.

READI Program

(Sophomores & Juniors only)

The READI (Real Estate Awareness Diversity Initiative) Program, in partnership with USD’s Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate, gives students an inside look at the many career paths within the real estate industry. Over the course of a semester, participants explore the full spectrum of commercial real estate through exclusive access to local companies and industry professionals. Students commit to attending all six sessions to gain a comprehensive understanding of this dynamic and diverse field.
