Michelle Montes

Michelle Montes is an enthusiastic educational professional with over 7 years of experience working in diverse educational settings. She’s committed to serving students and families to achieve their personal goals and strengthen their future. Michelle graduated with a master’s degree in Higher Education Counseling from Point Loma University. Her passion is to increase students' confidence by supporting them through their next step upon graduation. As a first-generation college student, the roadmap after high school can be confusing and it’s her goal to meet students where they’re at and support their plan.

Michelle has experience working at several community colleges in North San Diego County, partnering with local high schools to provide higher education support, and most recently working at CSU San Marcos with the College of Education, Health and Human Services.

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys watching her kids play competitive soccer. She enjoys cooking family dinners and spending time at the beach.
