Brian LeDuc
Brian LeDuc works at the intersection of education, workforce, and innovation. He founded Learning, Designed, a consulting practice helping education and community partners launch learner-centered experiences that align with industry needs and empower students for the future of work. Drawing on more than 15 years of experiences across higher education, corporate learning, and design, Brian has partnered with institutions to “get curious,” explore “what’s possible,” and design, test and implement programs that better connect learning with opportunity.
His work blends human-centered design with the realities of the labor market: he spends much of his time talking directly with employers about what they look for in early-career talent, and he brings education institutions through a process of integrating and co-designing experiences that meet student and stakeholder needs.
Before launching his practice, Brian led education and workforce orgs through learner-centered change at the Education Design Lab as well as improved retention and graduation rates with technology at the EAB. He’s served as Designer-in-Residence at the UC San Diego Design Lab, and helped build learning, leadership, career growth, and innovation programs at both nonprofit and Fortune 500 orgs including Intuit, where their design tools and methods (Design for Delight) have helped them evolve as one of the most Innovative companies in the world.
Brian serves locally in San Diego as an Executive in Residence for the College of Business at CSU-San Marcos, ranked #1 in the US for Social Mobility, as well as the Innovation and Design Thinking sub-committee of the YMCA of SD County and as well as a Judge for the Global Jacobs Teen Innovation Challenge at University of San Diego hosted by the Jacobs Institute for Innovation in Education.
